The leather is a by-product of working as part of a cooperative of families providing fair employment and equal opportunities
How are they made?
Our Journals are filled with beautiful handmade paper, created from pieces of recycled cotton rag. This ancient paper making skill has been passed on through generations. Cotton paper has the additional benefit of being tree free as no wood pulp is used. Each sheet is painstakingly made by hand and dried by the sun before being bound in leather and carefully hand stitched.
Each leather bound journal has 80 pages and is A5 in size (15cm x 21cm x 1.5cm). Please be aware these journals have a natural leather feel and can feature natural marks in the leather.
